Miranda Morehouse, Landscape Painter

Miranda Morehouse is an oil painter originally from Christmas Valley, Oregon, now based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Specializing in landscapes inspired by the desert sky, moon, and the voluminous cloud formations of the Southwest, she aims to capture moments of desert solitude in her paintings. Her work honors the vast, open spaces and the stillness of the desert landscape that she calls home. From plein air studies to studio-rendered compositions, her paintings serve as an ode to the rugged beauty and calming vastness of the desert.

A self-taught artist working in oils, Miranda has been embraced by the Santa Fe art community since arriving in 2023. She exhibits her work at various art fairs throughout the year and is featured at High Noon General Store in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2023, her painting Crescent Moon was selected for the Embarrassment of Riches show at Sun and Dust Gallery. In June 2024, her painting Moon Dance was showcased at the Los Alamos Fuller Lodge exhibition. She is honored to be  a member of the Santa Fe Society of Artists.
